how to plant potatoes potatoes can be
bought from garden centers as seed
potatoes which are immature tubers and
planted in the spring tom recommends
potatoes which involves placing
them in a cool dark place for a few days

sprout

larger baking potatoes depending upon
how they are left to grow step 1 you
will need seed potatoes a garden fork
string and a spade step 2 prepare the
site potatoes should be planted in sunny
sites in fertile slightly acidic soil
loosen the soil with a fork and remove
any weeds or stones
if you have poor soil you may want to
add organic matter or a multi-purpose
fertilizer
step3 plant so that the potatoes are
planted in the straight line lay a piece
of string on the soil as a guide
position the potatoes along the line at
40 centimeter intervals

each potato at a depth of approximately
15 centimeters place each potato in its
